Since 1902, Carrier has been at the forefront of the HVAC industry when it invented the modern air conditioner and maintained that standard of innovation through to today. In this video we’ll discuss the top Carrier dealers in Columbus, Ohio.

Hi, I’m Luke from Fire & Ice. As a Carrier dealer here in Central Ohio, we have installed thousands of Carrier air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps over the years. Over and over again our customers tell us just how much they appreciate the equipment for its quality and reliability. And quite honestly, it's one of the main reasons we chose Carrier as one of the many HVAC lines out there because we trust their products match the quality our customers deserve. But we’re often asked what we think of other Carrier dealers in the area. And since we strongly believe in answering every question our customers asked, we’ve come up with an alphabetical list of the top Carrier dealers in Columbus.

Choose the Right HVAC Contractor in Columbus, Ohio

We understand that there are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to picking an HVAC company to work with. And with so many choices it can be difficult to choose the right one. . Carrier equipment is known for its reliability and high standard for innovation, and the same should go from the HVAC contractor you decide to work with. To help, we’ve identified 5 things you should look for when choosing an HVAC contractor.

First is the standards and care they set for their employees. Are they independent contractors or W2’d employees with benefits? From our experience, systems installed or repaired b independent contractors are often poor and end up costing the customer in the long run due to premature breakdowns. That’s why all of our employees are accountable for the quality of work they do, not just the amount of work they do.

Next is training practices. At Fire & Ice we believe in continuing education and have invested in Central Ohio’s largest training center. Each year our technicians undergo over 200 hours of hands-on training every year to hone their craft. This way they’re learning in a controlled environment and not on the job. We also encourage and reimburse our technicians for any certifications they achieve.

The third thing to consider is the sales tactics used. If you’ve ever experience high-pressure sales, you know just how painful it can be. At Fire & Ice we understand deciding to purchase a new HVAC system is a big decision that will impact your indoor comfort for the next 20 years or more. That’s why we never use high-pressure sales tactics. All of our sales professionals take the time to learn about your individual needs and design a custom system that meets your comfort needs.

Speaking of custom solutions, it’d be impossible to determine the proper size furnace or air conditioner without performing a load calculation. Load calculations is one of the best ways to maximize the performance of any HVAC system to ensure it’s properly sized to your home. Often times this process is skipped, and HVAC contractors will assume the size based on the previous system or guess based on the size of your home. At Fire & Ice we provide a load calculation during ever sales appointment.

The fifth and final thing to consider are the installation practices and follow up after a new system has been installed. If corners are cut and less accurate tools are being used during the installation, it's likely your system will sooner rather than later. THat’s why we use the most accurate digital tools and up-to-date installation practices to ensure your system is installed right the first time. And after the installation is complete your sales professional will come out for a final quality inspection to make sure everything is working as it should. If you’re not 100% satisfied, we’ll work to find the solution to make it right.
