What is a dehumidifier and how does it work?
So, let's jump in and see what's a dehumidifier and how does it work? A dehumidifier’s, a piece of equipment in your home that reduces the amount of humidity in the air, which is going to make your house healthier and more comfortable. One of the reasons an air conditioner has struggles with cooling your home is because the humidity is too high in your home. What a dehumidifier could do is help the air conditioner by reducing the amount of humidity in your home. Which means the amount of cooling is a much more comfortable feel.
What are the pros and cons of a dehumidifier?
One of the pros of a dehumidifier is it aides in the air conditioner to dehumidifier the house. Which means that the air conditioner will be able to concentrate more on simply cooling the home and not have to spend all of its time on dehumidifier. Which will make it more efficient and feel better.
The second one is health and safety by dehumidifier in the basement or an area in the house to a level that we consider the safe zone. We will reduce the amount of bacteria in mold and dust mites in your home. Which means the overall health of your home will be safer and healthier. One main feature of the dehumidifier, the whole house dehumidifier is it removes up to 95 pints of water per day.
When it comes to cons, there really isn't much of a con to a dehumidifier. The only thing I can think of is that it is an additional investment to your overall system. But the pros will outweigh the cons.
How much does a dehumidifier cost?
Well, the investment in dehumidifier can range from anywhere between $2,000 and $3,000, depending on how it's installed.
One example of a whole house dehumidifier is the Aprilaire 1850. One of the reasons the price can vary is that you could decide to duct the dehumidifier directly into your system. The other factors could be that you may need to hang it.
Is a dehumidifier right for you?
