Part of Mitsubishi's hyper-heating product line, the MUZ-FH18NAH is a single zone heat pump mini split outdoor condenser designed to bring high-efficiency zoned comfort to homes in frigid climates. The outdoor condenser uses some of the most advanced technology available to modulate temperature without the energy-wasting overshoots and short-cycling associated with simpler systems. This outdoor unit is delivered with the base pan heater factory installed. The base pan heater prevents ice from building up on the outdoor unit. Excessive ice build will lead to performance issues and could damage your unit.
