What are the features of the Carrier Infinity 80?
Let’s get going and take a look at the features and benefits of the Carrier Infinity 80. First up, is its two-stage gas valve which means it operates in two capacities. When it first kicks on it begins in its lower stage using about 60 to 70 percent of its total capacity. When more heat is needed it’ll use its remaining capacity in its second stage. The benefits of this is better temperature control, more efficient operation, and better fuel economy.
Next up is its variable speed blower. Unlike fixed-speed motors a variable speed motor will automatically throttle up and down to meet the demands outside. It's a lot like cruise control in your car. This technology provides more even temperatures throughout the year and helps your air conditioner with dehumidification in the summer. Additionally, the Infinity 80's blower motor comes equipped with communicating technology, which means it adapts to your home environment. When the Infinity 80 is paired with other communicating equipment you'll be able to keep the temperature inside your home within a half degree all year.
The Infinity 80 also comes with Smart E-Vap technology which helps lower humidity levels by 10% in the summer, allowing your air conditioner to work more efficiently and save you money along the way. And during the winter it uses ComfortHeat Technology that determines how much heat is needed based on how your furnace runs.

What is the efficiency rating of the Carrier Infinity 80?
Carrier Infinity 80 is considered a standard efficiency furnace, with an AFUE efficiency rating of 80%. Which means up to 80% of the fuel used goes towards heating your home. With the other 20% exhausted as waste. If we think of it in terms of money, for every dollar spent on fuel up to 80 cents goes towards heating your home.

How much does the Infinity 80 cost?
Last but not least, is its cost. To have the Carrier Infinity 80 installed in your home expect to pay between $5,500 and $6,300. For comparison, a new furnace replacement can range between $3,000 to $7,600 making the Carrier Infinity 80 a reliable gas furnace that can fit most budgets.
However, to add a communicating air conditioner or heat pump expect to pay anywhere between $5,400 and $15,200.
