If you’re watching this video, you’re looking for an HVAC professional that has a good reputation, that is trustworthy, and is going to do the job right to service, repair or install a heating and cooling system in your home. In this video we’ll discuss the best heating and air conditioning companies in Central Ohio.
Hi, I’m Luke from Fire & Ice. At Fire & Ice, we believe we can handle any residential heating and cooling job, but we also want to be honest and transparent with our customers. We understand we may not be a good fit for everyone. That’s why we’ve come up with a list of Dublin, Ohio companies with good reputations to help homeowners choose one that’s right for them.
Let’s get started with an alphabetical list of some of Dublin’s best HVAC contractors.
Dublin, Ohio’s Best HVAC Contractors:
- First on our list is The Comfortworks. They have been in operation since 2005 and served Central Ohio and Delaware County. They provide 24/7 emergency assistance and install Lennox HVAC systems.
- Next up is Dor-Mar Heating and Air Conditioning. Dor-Mar has been in business since 1962 and has around 40 employees who serve the Newark, Columbus, Zanesville, and Lancaster areas.
- Hilliard-Dublin Heating and Air is next on our list. They are a part of the Five Star Heating & Cooling Group. A network of HVAC companies that service multiple municipalities.
- Next is Wolfe & Son Heating & Cooling. They have been doing HVAC since 1972 and their technicians are skilled in a range of heating and cooling services including installation, service and tune-ups.
- To round out the list is Yutzy Heating and Cooling. Based in Plain City, they serve homes in northwest Columbus and further out into cities like Marysville. They have been around since 1979 and the company was passed down to the owner’s son in 2006, who started as an installer.
This list isn’t comprehensive, so we encourage you to do your own research as well.
Choose the Right HVAC Contractor
With so many options it becomes difficult to choose the right one. Trane equipment is known for its reliability, and you should expect the same from the HVAC contractor you decide to go with. To help, we’ve identified 5 things you should look for when choosing an HVAC contractor.
First is the standards and care for their employees. Are they independent contractors or W2’d employees with benefits? From what we’ve seen, systems installed or repaired by independent contractors are often poor and end up costing the customer in the long run. At Fire & Ice, all of our employees are accountable for the quality of the work they do, not just the amount of work they do.
Next is training. We believe in continuing education and have invested in Central Ohio’s largest training center where we provide our technicians with over 200 hours of continuing education per year. We also encourage and reimburse our technicians for any certifications they achieve.
Third are sales tactics. If you’ve ever experienced high-pressure sales, you know how painful it can be. At Fire & Ice, we understand deciding to purchase a new HVAC system is a big decision that will impact your indoor comfort for the next 20 years or more. That’s why we never use high-pressure tactics.
Fourth are load calculations. One way to maximize the performance of any HVAC system is to have it properly sized to your home. And the best way to do this is to have load calculations performed during a sales consultation. Oftentimes this process is skipped, and HVAC contractors will just use the same size system you previously had or guess based on the size of your home.
Last are installation practices and follow-up. If corners are cut and less accurate tools are being used, it's likely your system will fail sooner than it should. That’s why we use the most accurate digital tools and up-to-date installation practices to ensure your system is installed right the first time. If you’re not 100% satisfied, we’ll work to find the solution to make it right.
