This past weekend, Fire & Ice Heating & Air Conditioning proudly participated in the Annual 5K Run hosted by the Columbus Division of Police Honor Guard. Our very own owner, Scott Merritt, joined the race, walking and running alongside the community to show support for this incredible cause. The event, held at Genoa Park in Columbus, Ohio, was more than just a run—it was a family-friendly day filled with activities!
"Fire & Ice proudly supports the thin blue line and honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Myself and several other employees participated in the Cops and Cookies 5K this past Saturday."
-Scott Merrit, Owner of F&I
Participants had the chance to meet the K9 unit, SWAT team, Dive team, Therapy Dogs, and even sit inside a police cruiser. There was also a Kid’s Fun Run and plenty of fun with the Mounted Unit and helicopter (weather permitting). As always, the race had its signature touch—cookies everywhere! From Cheryl’s Cookies to Resch’s Bakery and Crumbl Cookies, there were sweet treats not only at the finish line but also at the two water stops along the course.
This event helps support the Columbus Division of Police Honor Guard, a volunteer-based 501(c)3 non-profit that honors active and retired officers. Fire & Ice is proud to be a part of this wonderful community effort!
