Are you in the market for a new air conditioner that will be trouble-free and provide cool, comfortable air all summer? First, let me introduce you to the Carrier Infinity 19VS air conditioner. In this video, we’ll go over its benefits and see who will benefit most from this system.

Hi, my name is Roger from Fire & Ice. We understand there is a lot to choose from regarding air conditioning options. With so many out there, it can be overwhelming. Every year we help thousands of Central Ohio homeowners find the best air conditioner solution that’s best for them. When our customers are looking to maximize efficiency and indoor comfort, a standard solution is the Carrier 24VNA9, better known as the Infinity 19VS. In this video, we’ll review its features, review its efficiency rating, compare compatible equipment options and cost, and see who might benefit most from this heat pump. By the end of this video, you’ll know if the Carrier Infinity 19VS is right for you.

What are the features & benefits of the Carrier Infinity 19VS air conditioner?

Let’s begin and take a look at the features and benefits of the Carrier Infinity 19VS. First up is its Variable-speed rotary compressor. This means it can step up or down across five stages using 100% of its capacity in its fifth stage and as low as 25% in its first. In other words, when it first kicks on, it’ll only use 25% of its total capacity and gradually increase into its higher stages to meet demand. The cool thing about this technology is that it uses only the amount of energy that’s needed, saving you money in energy costs since it’s likely only going to be running in its first couple stages a majority of the time. In addition, since the air conditioner will run longer in its lower settings, it also allows for better temperature control and more even cool air distribution.

Another feature is its Ideal Humidity System™ Technology, which can remove up to 4 times the amount of moisture from the air compared to other standard systems. That’s significant when considering that every 5% relative humidity equals a 1-degree temperature increase. So not only can that help us feel cooler, it allows you not to have the temperature set as low in the house, saving you more on energy.

The Carrier Infinity 19VS also provides durable Weather Armor Ultra cabinet protection. It is designed with a galvanized steel cabinet and coil guard painted to protect against dings, dents, and other outdoor threats. And if noise levels are a concern, the Carrier Infinity 19VS can operate as low as 56 decibels thanks to its Silencer System technology.

Last but not least is the peace of mind included with its 10-year limited parts warranty.

What is the Carrier Infinity 19VS' Efficiency rating?

When it comes to efficiency, the Carrier Infinity 19VS is on the upper end of the scale. Air conditioner efficiency is measured by a seasonal energy Efficiency Ratio or SEER rating, and it's a measure of efficiency for the average cooling season. Most air conditioners on the market are rated between 14 and 22 SEER. The Carrier Infinity 19VS boasts a SEER rating of up to 19.

Who is the Carrier Infinity 19VS air conditioner a good fit for?

By now, you may be asking, who is the Carrier Infinity 19 VS a good fit for? It’s ideal for homeowners looking to upgrade an aging air conditioner to the latest and greatest. It’s also suitable for homeowners who suffer from several indoor comfort concerns like hot and cold spots and uneven temperatures between floors. When you run the system at a constant but lower speed, you’ll get a more even distribution of cool air and a better overall air mixture. And if your house suffers from high humidity in the summer, the Ideal Humidity System can also help take care of that.

However, it’s not for everyone. If you’re on a budget, don’t have many comfort concerns, or simply don’t want to invest in some of the latest technology Carrier has to offer, the Carrier Infinity 19VS might be more air conditioner than you need.

How much does the Carrier Infinity 19VS Cost?

Last but certainly not least, how much does it cost? To install the Carrier Infinity 19VS heat pump in your home, expect to pay between $7,600 and $9,900. For comparison, a new air conditioner installation can range between $5,000 and $15,000. At Fire & Ice, all of our estimates include the cost of equipment, labor, and any additional fees.

Multiple factors go into the price of a new air conditioner, such as its capacity, the size of your home, filters and other indoor air quality products, and any modifications needed during installation. We like to say there is no one-size-fits-all solution for HVAC systems.
