Today, we are going to break down the Carrier Infinity 98 Gas Furnace and see why it’s one of the most reliable furnaces on the market. In this video, we’ll go over the features of the Infinity Series 98 and talk about who would get the most benefit from this system.

Hi, I’m Luke from Fire & Ice. Every year we meet with thousands of Central Ohio homeowners to help solve their heating and cooling needs. When it comes to reliability and efficiency, the Carrier 59MN7, or better known as the Carrier Infinity 98, is one of the best furnaces on the market today. In this video we'll take a look at its features, its efficiency rating, see who will get the most benefit from this furnace, and its cost. By the end of this video you’ll see why everyone’s talking about the Carrier Infinity 98.

What are the features and benefits of the Carrier Infinity 98?

Let’s dive in and take a look at the features and benefits of the Carrier Infinity 98. One of the main features is its modulating gas valve. Furnaces with modulating gas valves will first start using around 40% of its capacity and increase by 1% increments until it’s using all of its capacity. Meaning, it's delivering the precise amount of heat necessary for your home. Allowing the furnace to operate longer at a steadier, lower capacities that provide even temperatures, significant energy savings, and near whisper quiet operations.

The next feature is its variable speed blower which works a lot like cruise control in your car. The Infinity 98’s blower will automatically adjust its speed as conditions change. A variable speed motor will provide more consistent temperatures throughout the home and eliminate any hot and cold spots you may have. It will also help your air conditioner with dehumidification in the summer.

The next major feature is its GreenSpeed Intelligence technology which means the Infinity 98 will constantly communicate with other communicating equipment to make subtle adjustments to provide ultimate control over your indoor comfort. In fact, it can keep the temperature in your home year round with a half degree.

The Infinity 98 also comes with Smart E-Vap technology which helps lower humidity levels by 10% in the summer, allowing your air conditioner to work more efficiently and save you money along the way.

Thanks to its modulating gas valve, variable speed blower, and GreenSpeed Intelligence the Carrier 98 is one of the quietest furnaces on the market today. Housed inside a fully insulated, 20-gauge steel cabinet the Carrier 98 can operate as low as 38.4 decibels. That’s quieter than a conversation.

Lastly is the peace of mind knowing that it’s covered by a limited 10 year parts warranty and a lifetime heat exchanger limited warranty.

What is the efficiency rating of the Carrier Infinity 98?

When it comes to efficiency the Carrier Infinity 98 is near 100%. It is considered a high efficiency furnace with an AFUE efficiency rating of 98.5%. Which means up to 98 and a half percent of the fuel used is going towards heating your home. And only 1-and-a-half percent is exhausted as waste.

Who is the Carrier Infinity 80 a good fit for?
