Hi. I'm Josh with Fire & Ice Heating and Air Conditioning. And today we're going to talk about brazing with nitrogen.

Nitrogen based brazing or brazing with nitrogen is simply purging nitrogen through the copper while you're brazing it. That's it. It keeps it clean. Refrigeration systems need to be very clean and dry before refrigerant is added into it. This will ensure the longevity of the equipment, the efficiency that you deserve, and the comfort that you deserve.

When contaminants go inside of this refrigerant, it will damage this system. It will take place over time. Most likely, it's not going to be something that you experience immediately. So, brazing with nitrogen is the only way to prevent any damage inside the system. So, looking inside this piece, you can obviously tell that there's going to be some contaminants inside of there. As the cutaway shows here, the cutaway of the one that was braised with nitrogen is perfectly clean. In fact, it's cleaner than the copper than when it came.

So, we want to make sure that we're always doing it right. And that's brazing with nitrogen. We know this is important and this is something that we do on every install, every day at fire and ice. So, if you're in need of service or a new install of an air conditioner heat pump, give us a call. Check out our website. We'd love to hear from you here at Fire & Ice.

Challenging job with my small attic space, but they did a great job of getting the whole new HVAC installed. Staff were polite and knowledgeable, they clearly wanted to do the job right and took pride in their work.

Kyle is the best! After hours call for AC not working. The company who installed the unit couldn’t get anyone to our house for over 5 DAYS! Fire and Ice was recommended by a coworker. I called and gave my info for an emergency house call. 10 minutes later Kyle called. Less than An hour later my AC was repaired! Pricewas super reasonable (especially considering it’s after 9 pm) No fuss, no gimmicks and super nice. Kyle you’re our hero!

Great experience having all their people in our home to help us replace both 21 yr old heating & air conditioning units. They were recommended by our son since they did an efficient and quick job in their furnace breakdown. From Roger, who walked us through buying the units, to Floyd & Daniqua, the technicians that installed both Trane units, we found them very courteous, efficient and knowledgeable! We highly recommend Fire & Ice for your HVAC needs!!

Bryan and Nick were both very professional and friendly! When there is someone in your home typically it isn't like you can relax and go about your day but we were totally able to do just that. It is like they were not even here as they worked hard for 9+ hours to get the job done. Please tell them THANK YOU for being so awesome at what they do! Huge kudos to both gentlemen and you are lucky to have them on your team.
