Drain & Sewer Cleaning

When a drain slows down or backs up completely, you need it cleared - not tomorrow, but now. Our team uses professional-grade equipment including motorized drain snakes and hydro jetting systems that deliver up to 4,000 PSI of water pressure to cut through grease buildup, tree roots, and years of accumulated debris.

Hydro jetting doesn't just punch a hole through the clog - it scours the full interior of the pipe, restoring it close to its original diameter. It's the difference between a temporary fix and a lasting solution.

Whether it's a kitchen sink that won't drain, a basement floor drain backing up, or a main sewer line blockage, we'll get the water flowing again.

Video Camera Pipe Inspection

Before we recommend any repair, we want to see exactly what's going on inside your pipes. Our waterproof sewer cameras give us a real-time view of the pipe interior so we can pinpoint the exact location and cause of the problem - whether it's root intrusion, a collapsed section, offset joints, or buildup.

This takes the guesswork out of the process. You'll know what you're dealing with before any digging starts, and we can recommend the most cost-effective repair for your specific situation. Camera inspections are also a smart move before buying an older home in the Columbus area, where clay and cast iron sewer lines from the mid-1900s are still common.

Sewer & Water Line Replacement

Some pipes are beyond repair. Tree root damage, bellied lines, and decades of corrosion can compromise a sewer or water line to the point where cleaning alone won't solve the problem. When that happens, we handle full line replacement - from your home to the street connection.

Central Ohio homes built before the 1970s often have clay tile or cast iron sewer lines, both of which deteriorate over time. Clay pipes are especially vulnerable to root intrusion at the joints, while cast iron corrodes from the inside out. We'll evaluate the condition of your line and walk you through your replacement options, including whether trenchless methods are a fit for your property.

Trenchless Pipe Lining

Not every sewer repair requires tearing up your yard. Cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPP) lets us rehabilitate damaged sewer lines from the inside. A resin-saturated liner is inserted into the existing pipe, inflated, and cured in place - creating a smooth, jointless pipe within the old one.

CIPP lining works well for pipes with cracks, root intrusion damage, or minor joint offsets. The new liner has an expected service life of 50 years or more and resists future root penetration since there are no joints for roots to exploit. It's faster, less disruptive, and often more affordable than traditional excavation - especially when the sewer line runs under driveways, landscaping, or other structures.

Not every situation qualifies for trenchless repair. We'll perform a camera inspection first to determine whether your pipe is a good candidate.

Floor Drain Repair & Replacement

Basement floor drains are easy to forget about until they stop working. A backed-up floor drain can lead to standing water, sewage odors, and potential water damage. Common causes include dried-out P-traps, clogs from debris, or deteriorated drain lines beneath the slab.

We handle everything from clearing simple blockages to cutting out and replacing the drain line beneath your basement floor. If your older Columbus-area home has a floor drain that chronically backs up during heavy rain, it may be connected to an overwhelmed combined sewer system - something we can evaluate and discuss solutions for.

Storm Drain & Yard Drainage

Pooling water in your yard, driveway, or around your foundation isn't just an inconvenience - it can cause serious structural and water damage over time. Central Ohio's clay-heavy soil doesn't drain well on its own, which makes proper grading and drainage infrastructure especially important.

We clean and repair existing storm drains, install French drains, and address yard drainage issues that direct water away from your foundation. If you're dealing with water intrusion in your basement after heavy rains, the problem may start outside - and that's where we can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

A single slow drain - like a bathroom sink or shower - is usually a localized clog. But if multiple drains in your home are backing up at the same time, or you notice gurgling sounds in other fixtures when you flush a toilet, the problem is likely in your main sewer line. We can run a camera inspection to determine exactly where the issue is.
Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water - up to 4,000 PSI - to scour the inside of your drain and sewer lines, removing grease, roots, scale, and debris. It's safe for most pipe materials when performed by a trained plumber. We always inspect the pipe condition first to make sure it can handle the pressure, especially with older clay or cast iron lines.
For most homes, a sewer camera inspection every two to three years is a good preventative measure. If you have mature trees near your sewer line or an older home with clay or cast iron pipes, annual inspections are a smart investment to catch root intrusion and deterioration early.
Sewer lines carry warm water and nutrients - exactly what tree roots are looking for. Roots are drawn to the moisture that escapes through tiny cracks or joints in the pipe. Once a root finds its way in, it continues to grow inside the line, eventually causing blockages or even pipe failure. Clay tile pipes with multiple joints are especially vulnerable.
Trenchless pipe lining, also called CIPP (cured-in-place pipe), involves inserting a resin-coated liner into the existing pipe. Once cured, it forms a new pipe inside the old one - no digging required. It works well for pipes with cracks, minor root damage, or joint offsets. However, it's not suitable for pipes that have collapsed, have severe bellying, or have significant diameter changes. A camera inspection tells us whether your pipe is a candidate.
CIPP liners are rated for a service life of 50 years or more. Because the liner creates a seamless, jointless pipe interior, it also resists future root intrusion - one of the most common causes of sewer line failure in Central Ohio.
The most common cause is a dried-out P-trap. The P-trap is a U-shaped section of pipe beneath the drain that holds a small amount of water, creating a seal that blocks sewer gases from entering your home. If the drain hasn't been used in a while, the water evaporates and the seal breaks. Try pouring a gallon of water down the drain - if the smell goes away, that was the issue. If it persists, there may be a blockage or a damaged drain line that needs professional attention.
In many older Columbus-area neighborhoods, homes are connected to combined sewer systems that handle both stormwater and sanitary sewage in the same pipe. During heavy rain, these systems can become overwhelmed, causing sewage to back up through basement floor drains. Other causes include poor yard drainage, foundation cracks, or a failing sump pump. We can evaluate your situation and recommend the right solution.
The cost varies depending on the length of the line, depth of the pipe, whether the line runs under structures like driveways or sidewalks, and the method used (traditional excavation vs. trenchless). We provide upfront estimates after a camera inspection so you know exactly what you're looking at. The best way to get an accurate number is to schedule an inspection.
Yes. A backed-up sewer line or a flooding basement can't wait. If you're dealing with a drain emergency, give us a call and we'll work to get a plumber out to you as quickly as possible.
