It’s possible to get paid while you go to school at Fire & Ice University. And when you graduate, you get a raise and transition into a full-time job and a lucrative career.

If you’re thinking about a career change, and don’t have the finances or time to go through a trade school, Fire & Ice Heating and Air Conditioning might offer you the perfect solution.

Most people think they need to go to a heating and cooling school for a couple of years. Our goal is to shorten that education span to three months, starting in February 2023 and ending at the end of April. We can get you ready for a career faster.

As part of your apprenticeship coursework, we’ll put you in the field with heating and cooling experts while you’re still taking classes. You’ll get immersive, hands-on training.

Experience is king in this industry.

Our goal is to have people ready for full-time work in the summer of 2023. Once you’re in the field, you can start learning more and start making more.

We’re going to incorporate the Fire & Ice philosophy into the training. We want to teach folks how to do things the Fire & Ice way. We do not cut corners when it comes to this important line of work. We expect and reward work done the right way. If a customer is unhappy, we haven’t done our jobs right.

Part of the curriculum will be offered in our training room, which is one of the largest centers in the country. You’ll be doing bookwork as well, but as part of the course, there will be ride-alongs with service techs and installation experts so that you can begin to get your feet wet.

Classroom/work hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm daily, with some overtime and occasional weekends as needed.

What you’ll bring is a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the desire to grow within our trade. In return, you’ll be paid $16/hour to take our classes. After three months, you get a raise and the opportunity for significant growth potential within the company.

You’re going to be paid a reasonable wage to sit in a classroom and learn. How often do you get to do that?

We want to help new minds enter a profession in which it’s tough to find people. At Fire & Ice we’re always hiring because we’re a fast-growing company. We’re looking forward to this mutually-beneficial classroom experience where we can train aspiring technicians to be the best that they can be.

Qualified candidates need to have a clean driving record, pass a drug screen, submit to a background check, and have the ability to use basic tools. You must also bring a positive attitude.

Here are just a few things we offer at Fire & Ice University:

  • Bypass trade school and still obtain required certifications
  • Highly competitive pay including bonuses and SPIFFs (Sales Program Incentive Funds)
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Medical insurance (70% covered for the employee; 25% covered for dependents)
  • Dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Supplemental insurance
  • Paid vacation and time off
  • Paid holidays
  • 401K with a 5% company match
  • Tool purchasing program
  • Growth and advancement opportunities
