Trane has a reputation as one of the best HVAC manufacturers in the United States. In this video we’ll discuss the best Trane dealers in Columbus, Ohio

Hi, I’m Bryan from Fire & Ice. As a Trane dealer here in Central Ohio, we have installed thousands of Trane HVAC systems over the years. Time and time again our customers express how much they appreciate the equipment for its quality and reliability. We understand completely, and even use Trane systems in our homes as well. In fact, we believe in Trane so much that we’ve created a list of the top Trane dealers in the area. Why? Well, we want you to be aware of your options. We understand that Fire & Ice is not for everyone, and we hope with this alphabetical list will give you more options. Without further ado, let’s jump in and look at our list of Columbus, Ohio’s top Trane dealers.

Top Trane Dealers in Columbus, Ohio

To start off our list is Franklin Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration. They’ve been around since 1994 and are located in Groveport. Along with Trane products, Franklin also sells and installs Carrier, Honeywell, Goodman, Tempstar, and Payne products. They believe in offering a variety of brands so their customers can find what they’re looking for.

Next up is Hetter Heating & Cooling, Inc. which is located in Upper Arlington. John Hetterschedit took over ownership from his father in 1996. From 2003-2013 John was the chair for Columbus’s Heat the Town program, a program in which local HVAC companies volunteer their time and materials to help those in need prepare for winter. Hetter sells and installs Trane and Tempstar residential HVAC products.

Speaking of philanthropy, relative newcomer Keystone Heating and Cooling is next on our list. They were founded in Canal Winchester in 2015, and they specialize in Trane residential and commercial HVAC products. For every system they install, the company donates $50 to the Canal Winchester VFW, post 10523 in the customer’s name.

In 1969 the Logan family founded Logan AC & Heat Services in the Miami Valley. In 2002 ownership shifted hands to current-owner Jim Meyer. Today they serve Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati. They sell and install Trane, Rheem, and Mitsubishi residentia - l HVAC products.

Rounding out our list is Westin Air, LLC Heating and Cooling. The company was founded in 2005 by longtime friends Wesley Shankland and Justin Peters. Westin Air has offices in Westerville and Sunbury and they sell and install Trane residential and commercial HVAC products.

Choose the Right HVAC Contractor

With so many options it becomes difficult to choose the right one. Trane equipment is known for its reliability, and you should expect the same from the HVAC contractor you decide to go with. To help, we’ve identified 5 things you should look for when choosing an HVAC contractor.

First is the standards and care for their employees. Are they independent contractors or W2’d employees with benefits? From what we’ve seen, systems installed or repaired by independent contractors are often poor and end up costing the customer in the long run. At Fire & Ice, all of our employees are accountable for the quality of the work they do, not just the amount of work they do.

Next is training. We believe in continuing education and have invested in Central Ohio’s largest training center where we provide our technicians with over 200 hours of continuing education per year. We also encourage and reimburse our technicians for any certifications they achieve.

Third are sales tactics. If you’ve ever experienced high-pressure sales, you know how painful it can be. At Fire & Ice, we understand deciding to purchase a new HVAC system is a big decision that will impact your indoor comfort for the next 20 years or more. That’s why we never use high-pressure tactics.

Fourth are load calculations. One way to maximize the performance of any HVAC system is to have it properly sized to your home. And the best way to do this is to have load calculations performed during a sales consultation. Oftentimes this process is skipped, and HVAC contractors will just use the same size system you previously had or guess based on the size of your home.

Last are installation practices and follow-up. If corners are cut and less accurate tools are being used, it's likely your system will fail sooner than it should. That’s why we use the most accurate digital tools and up-to-date installation practices to ensure your system is installed right the first time. If you’re not 100% satisfied, we’ll work to find the solution to make it right.

What are the next steps?

I hope by now you have the knowledge and confidence to choose the best HVAC contractor that’s right for you and your home. If you’re in Central Ohio and you’d like to schedule an estimate or service for your HVAC system click the button at the top of the page. Thank you for watching and we look forward to making your day even better.

The team from Fire & Ice replaced our heating and air conditioning system in our nearly impossibly small furnace room (I feared they would have to remove our hot water tank and move the washer & dryer to get access to the furnace unit) and the outside was also a task because it required a crane to get the A/C unit on the roof of our condo. The team of pros from Fire & Ice were able to accomplish all of these unusual tasks and kept me fully informed on what was needed for them to get our units replaced. We highly recommend Fire & Ice. Fire an Ice installed my furnace two years ago so I decided to use them to install my new a/c. Bryan did a great job reviewing all my options and working to get the financing that worked for me. He was also very patient with me and answered all my questions. Demetrius and Will did an amazing job! Considering all the work they did, they were done in four hours. I’m very pleased and would recommend Fire and Ice to anyone needing HVAC services

The sales experience with Luke was great. The installation team of Demetrius, Tyler and Hassan was fantastic. They were on time, were very thorough and did a great job. They take pride in their work and it shows with the final product. They were very respectful, cleaned up and it was a pleasure having them in our house. I highly recommend all these employees and this company. The company is fortunate to have them.

Brandon was the one who installed our new furnace. He was punctual and very professional. Our new furnace is working great and couldn’t be happier with how it looks. Bryan the sales rep was very informational without being pushy and helped us make the best decision for our house. I recommend anyone who needs a new Hvac unit to call fire and ice.

We had 2 AC systems relocated and replaced. Roger (our sales contact), spent most of the day with us calculating the load and measuring the house to ensure proper equipment sizing. Roger was very responsive in helping select a proper and sound location to install the new systems. He came out 3 times to answer questions and inspect the retaining wall/pad. On the day of install, Bryan, Nick and Luke were on time and very respectful of the home. They worked tirelessly the entire day (8am - 6pm) removing the old evaporator(s) and installing the new compressors. Everything was done neatly both inside and out. I would highly recommend their service to anyone considering a new system(s). We just followed up with a pair of new furnaces. Fast scheduling and efficient installation. Luke and Brandon protected the floor and cleaned up after the install.

I had a positive experience with Fire and Ice in the past and my AC installation was even better. Brandon and DQ were very professional. Not only was the install super clean with an impressive 4 fitting duct bend sealed tight, but I needed to work from home during the install and I barely heard them throughout the day. I’ll be recommending F&I to all my friends.
