Are you looking for a new air conditioner that will give you simple, efficient, and affordable cooling? First, let me introduce you to the Carrier Comfort 13 air conditioner. In this video, we’ll review its features and see who might benefit most from this system.

Hi, my name is Roger from Fire & Ice. We help thousands of Central Ohio homeowners each year determine the best HVAC system that meets their heating and cooling needs. Often some of our customers are looking for a straightforward, affordable air conditioner. When this is the case, one of the more popular solutions is the Carrier 24ABB3, also known as the Carrier Comfort 13. In this video, we’ll dive into its features and benefits, review its efficiency rating, see who is a good fit for this air conditioner, and review its cost. By the end of this video, you’ll know if the Carrier Performance 16 air conditioner is right for you.

What are the features of the Carrier Comfort 13 air conditioner?

Let’s get started and look at the Carrier Comfort 13’s features. First, it is a single-stage compressor; this means it uses 100% of its total capacity every time it kicks on. As a result, this straightforward technology delivers consistent and reliable cooling throughout the summer.

This model also has design and durability features. For example, the Comfort 13’s cabinet is protected using Weather Armor Ultra, including a galvanized steel cabinet, louvered coil guard, and powder-coated paint to protect against damage and the elements.

The last feature is the added peace of mind with its 10-year limited parts warranty.

What is the efficiency rating of the Carrier Comfort 13?

Regarding efficiency, the Carrier Comfort 13 has a SEER rating of up to 14.5. SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, and it works like miles per gallon in your car. It measures the efficiency of energy used during an average cooling season. Most air conditioners on the market are rated between 13 and 22 SEER.

Who is Carrier Comfort 13 air conditioner a good fit for?

The Carrier Comfort 13 air conditioner is ideal for homeowners looking for a reliable air conditioner that will keep them cool throughout the summer. Thanks to its tried-and-true compressor and durable design, the Comfort 13 is an affordable air conditioner that likely will fall within most budgets.

Additionally, are you considering moving soon and want to maximize your home’s resale value? The Comfort 13 can be an excellent upgrade from an older air conditioner that will meet current energy standards without costing a fortune.

However, if you have comfort concerns like uneven temperatures or suffer from high energy bills, you might want to consider an air conditioner with more features. It should also be noted that it’s not the quietest air conditioner on the market, with a nominal noise level of 74 decibels each time it kicks on. That’s comparable to the average vacuum cleaner.

How much does Carrier Comfort 13 air conditioner cost?

And finally, how much does the Carrier Comfort 13 air conditioner cost? To install it, expect to pay between $4,600 and $6,500. At Fire & Ice, all of our prices include the cost of equipment, labor, and any additional fees. For comparison, installing a new air conditioner can cost anywhere between $5,000 and $15,000.

We like to say there are no one-size-fits-all solutions when it comes to HVAC, and a number of factors can impact the price. Such as the air conditioner’s capacity, the size of your home, additional indoor air quality products, and any modifications needed during installation.
