Hi, I’m Luke from Fire & Ice. At Fire & Ice, we believe we can handle any residential heating and cooling job, but we also want to be honest and transparent with our customers. We understand we may not be a good fit for everyone. That’s why we’ve come up with a list of Worthington, Ohio companies with good reputations to help homeowners choose one that’s right for them.

Let’s get started with an alphabetical list of some of Worthington’s best HVAC contractors.

Worthington, Ohio’s Best HVAC Contractors:

  1. To start off our list is Aire-Flo corporation who has been in business since 1951. They are a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer and serve both residential and commercial customers.

  2. Next is Columbus Worthington Air. They have been doing HVAC since 1936 and are a Premier Bryant Dealer. Believe it or not but they have serviced over 50,000 homes throughout Central Ohio.

  3. Custom Air Conditioning and Heating Co has been serving the greater Columbus region since 1976. They have a staff of over 125 full-time employees and more than 25 service trucks. Custom Air was purchased by Air Force One, making their total number of locations 8 in Ohio.

  4. Logan A/C and Heat Services is next on our list. The logan family founded the company in the Miami Valley area in 1969 and was sold to current owner Jim Meyer in 2002. Today, they have locations in Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

  5. Next is Minutemen Heating & Cooling, Inc. Two brothers formed the company in Canal Winchester in 1978. In 1995 they incorporated. They are an authorized American Standard and Amana Dealer.

  6. Last but not least, Northland Heating & Air Conditioning. For more than 50 years they have been providing HVAC services to Columbus. They carry Lennox and Carrier products.

This list isn’t comprehensive, so we encourage you to do your own research as well.

Choose the Right HVAC Contractor

With so many options it becomes difficult to choose the right one. Here are some factors to consider when picking your next HVAC company:

First, is the standards and care set for their employees. Are they independent contractors or W2’d employees with benefits? From what we’ve seen, systems installed or repaired by independent contractors are often poor and end up costing the customer in the long run. At Fire & Ice, all of our employees are accountable for the quality of the work they do, not just the amount of work they do.

Next, is training. We believe in continuing education and have invested in Central Ohio’s largest training center where we provide our technicians with over 200 hours of continuing education per year. We also encourage and reimburse our technicians for any certifications they achieve.

Third, are sales tactics. If you’ve ever experienced high-pressure sales, you know how painful it can be. At Fire & Ice, we understand deciding to purchase a new HVAC system is a big decision that will impact your indoor comfort for the next 20 years or more. That’s why we never use high-pressure tactics.

Fourth, are load calculations. One way to maximize the performance of any HVAC system is to have it properly sized to your home. And the best way to do this is to have load calculations performed during a sales consultation. Oftentimes this process is skipped and HVAC contractors simply use the same size system you previously or guess based on the size of your home.

Last, are installation practices and follow-up. If corners are cut and less accurate tools are being used to install your equipment, it's likely your system will fail sooner than it should. That’s why we use the most accurate digital tools and up-to-date installation practices to ensure your system is installed right the first time. If you’re not 100% satisfied, we’ll work to find the solution to make it right.

What are the next steps?

I hope by now you have the knowledge and confidence to choose the best HVAC contractor that’s right for you and your home.
